Sumba
As one of Indonesia's 13,000 islands, Sumba is far from the Balinese frenzy.
The surf camp is located in the north of Sumatra Island, on the island of Simeulue.
The accommodation faces the beach, which offers perfect waves without anyone in the water.
The surf camp also has a seawater pool, where you can relax after your surf session or enjoy the majestic sunsets of Simeulue.
The surf lodge consists of bungalows, private rooms and a tree house!
Amenities include: fan, private bathroom, shower with hot water, private balconies and sunbeds and a beautiful ocean view!
Full board is included, you can enjoy delicious Asian and Western food, 3 times a day, on your private terrace or at the bar at the entrance of the lodge. Unlimited water, tea and coffee.
There are more than a dozen surf spots around the surf camp, so there is a wide choice of lefts and rights: from tubes to long waves for cruising, as well as good beachbreaks!
The level of surfing required is between intermediate and advanced.
The lodge is 3 minutes away from Dylan's right wave, a perfect right that breaks on the reef.
This wave offers you powerful tubes, you will ride at very high speed!
There is also a reefbreak with an easy left to the southwest, called Thailand, with a steep slope perfect for your maneuvers.
Unlike the neighbouring Mentawai Islands, the Simeulues Islands in Sumatra are not very crowded and you can surf without worrying about priorities!
Indonesia has a tropical climate, just below the equator, two seasons are distinguished:
