Our van is perfect for those who want to discover Tahiti and Moorea in a row, with no headaches. You can sleep where you want, eat in front of the island's best spots or wake up for a surf session at dawn just off the peak.

IDEA FOR A 6-DAY ROADTRIP IN A VAN

  • Day 1: Van pick-up at Tahiti airport / Snorkelling at beach pk18 / Hike to Vaipahi water gardens / Overnight at Mataiea beach
  • Day 2: Morning boat trip to the Teahupoo peninsula / Visit to the east coast. Surf the beaches of Ahonu / Overnight at the Gooding nursery in Mahina.
  • Day 3: Crossing to Moorea / Visit to the Opunohu Valley, Stroll to the Lycée Agricole / Snorkelling and overnight at Temae beach
  • Day 4: Day trip to the lagoon / Overnight at Camping Nelson.
  • Day 5: Magic Mountain hike / Visit to the Rotui factory / Jet ski / Tahiamanu beach / Overnight at Moorea Tropical Garden.
  • Day 6: Crossing to Tahiti, visit to the centre of Papeete and the market / Return of the Van to Tahiti airport

Where do we sleep? Accommodation

Our vans are equipped with everything you need to go solo, with 2, 3 or 4 people:

  • Fridge, gas cooker, sink with water supply
  • Hand shower
  • Camping table and chairs
  • An auxiliary battery provides energy autonomy for the duration of the stay

2 berths are available: in the vehicle, the bench seat converts into a bed and a tent on the roof provides a 2nd berth. The tent is ideal for the hottest nights, when you can enjoy the starry sky and the sound of the waves while being protected from mosquitoes.

Best time to visit The perfect months

It's hot all year round!

However, there are 2 main seasons: from December to the end of February, it's hot with temperatures ranging from 25 to 35°C, but it's a season prone to tropical showers that generally last no more than 30 minutes.

March to November is the dry season, with temperatures between 22 and 27°C.

  • Where to stop for the night?
    Visit Tahiti and Moorea There are around twenty public and private addresses where you can park your van for the night:
  1. In Moorea, in the Opunohu valley, on Temae beach, at the Haapiti pier or in the campsites (Nelson, Tropical Garden, Mark's place).
  2. In Tahiti, on the lookouts (Pirae, Vaitavere, Mahina, Taravao), on the beaches of Mataiea, Teahupoo, Tautira, in the campsites or in the homes of local residents (Tahiti iti, teanavai, Fare purau, Pépinière Gooding, One Poto, Taharuu's lodge, etc.).
  • What about the toilets?
    On beaches and public places, they are accessible during the day, and dry toilets are available at night.
