Climate
Costa Rica enjoys a tropical climate, close to the equator, two seasons stand out. The dry season from December to May and the wet season from April to December. The average temperature on the Pacific coast is 32 °c while it is 17 °c in the mountains.
Entry Formalities
No visa required for surf stays of less than 90 days (for EU citizens).
You will still need to have a valid passport at least six months after your surf trip return to Costa Rica.
Language
We speak Spanish in Costa Rica although English is widely used in major tourist cities (Tamarindo, Jaco...).

Water/Power Supply
The whole country is equipped with 110v (not forget the adapter).
Currency/change
The national currency is the colon but US dollar is accepted almost everywhere. Prefer smaller cuts that are easier to use.
Credit cards are not always accepted and there are still few ATM.
Health
No particular vigilance to have in Costa Rica, however a antimalarial treatment can be a good choice if you plan to stay in the primary jungle or on the Caribbean coast.
