Ekas Bay is a beautiful bay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The 2 surf spots: Ekas Inside and Ekas Outside offer a magnificent view and quality surfing with simple waves and others more complicated for the high levels.
Due to its location, Ekay Bay has a year-round swell inflow. The best waves are from April to November, between 2 and 4 m when the swell comes in from the south-southeast and west-southwest and weakens to 1-2 m during the rainy season.
Outside Ekas is a big hollow wave that breaks against a cliff. This wave is for experienced surfers because there is a large body of water and the wave is powerful. Best on an incoming tide with a southeast wind.
Inside Ekas is the playful little sister! It's a wave for all levels, long, that rolls well inside the bay. It breaks by generating a right and a left. The right one is of great quality, especially at low tide, and is reserved for experienced surfers. The left, at high tide, is ideal for beginners who want a classic long ride. You can use a shortboard or a longboard on this left.
During the rainy season, Sereweh, a reef wave, works well but early in the morning, before the wind arrives.
Indonesia has a tropical climate, just below the equator, two seasons are distinguished:
