Why do we have to go surfing now in the Frensh West Indies?

According to what the locals told me, the best time to go surfing in Martinique is from November to May.

I went there in December and unfortunately I had two weeks of wind, but that didn't stop me from surfing three times a day, every day.

Indeed, I was housed in Tartane near the small surf school 360 Surf provider, and I spent a lot of time with Gégé the instructor. He has great advice, is very educational and is a real local as he grew up there. He was French champion in the past and today he coaches the Martinique hopeful pole. His advice helped me a lot to improve. Between two surfs he knows the nice places to go for a walk, to dive to see the turtles in turquoise water, or (for those who like strong sensations) to jump from a 13 meters cliff (yes I did it without being pushed).

It's a quiet little corner of paradise. There are plenty of beautiful beaches to discover, and magnificent waterfalls to recharge your batteries. All of this within a short drive as the island is not large.
